Ahh lucky lucky lady, Cape Town will be so beautiful – it’s pretty windy though this time of year! My family are all from there so I have a few recommendations for you:
1. Afternoon tea at the Mount Nelson Hotel.
2. Brunch at The Annex, Kalk Bay.
3. Go wine tasting – any wine estate in Constantia ( I can recommend Groot Constantia or Constantia Glen) or if you get the chance to go up to the town of Franschhoek, La Petite Ferme is incredible.
4. Orchard on Long (Long Street) for a juice.
5. Breakfast at La Belle, The Alphen Hotel.
6. Drive along Chapman’s Peak (maybe after horse riding along Noordhoek beach).
7. Cocktails at The Bungalow, Clifton and Cape to Cuba, Kalk Bay.
8. Community market at Cape Point Vineyards for food – choose from loads of stalls and watch the sunset picnic style (get there early though).
9. Drive out to Babylonstoren for lunch, a Cape Dutch farm just outside Paarl with incredible food and gardens.
10. Corner Surf Shop in Muizenberg is the oldest surf shop in Africa and has some really beautiful swimwear.
11. The Brass Bell in Kalk Bay has amazing seafood and you can sit right next to the tidal pool.
Then there is the usual touristy things like Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, V&A Waterfront, Lion’s Head, Camps Bay, Clifton 4th beach, Llandudno, Hout Bay market, Cape Point, Boulders Beach (for the penguins) and Bo-Kaap.
I hope these tips come in useful and you have the best time. I can’t wait to see your blog posts. If you need any more info you can check out my blog from this post and newer – http://www.thewonderofstyle.com/2015/07/flying-to-cape-town-and-muizenberg.html
